Moved By the Music ~ Ryan Farish

Updated: May 28, 2023

Fun fact: back in the nineties, I used to sing in a band; a band in the highlands of Scotland no less! Well, it’s a long story, but it was one of my life’s great adventures. You see, my life has had a running soundtrack playing from the very start. I grew up in a household where music was a constant. Bravo, parents!! How fortunate I was to be exposed to everything from Gregorian to Gershwin plus all that lay in between and beyond. I can’t imagine going through a day without music playing in the background. It inspires, uplifts and adds depth and meaning to all that I do, whether I’m singing, dancing or dreaming along with it.

Within my blog postings, I’ll occasionally introduce you to musicians and composers that up until now, you may not have heard of. These are individuals who I’m eager to tell you about, quite simply because I believe their ability to colour our world with sound is truly a gift that is meant to be shared.

So, firstly I’d like to introduce you to Ryan Farish. He’s an American composer, songwriter and musician best known for his downtempo electronica, chill out music. Since discovering Ryan’s music a couple of years ago, I’ve been an unapologetically hard-core fan. His compositions are infused with emotion and have the power to truly stir my imagination. I urge you to take a listen and then listen again and then once more. Ryan’s music is never predictable. It can tell you stories and weave together images and colours within your mind’s eye. One of my very favourite tracks is entitled ‘Days Ahead’. Interestingly, these are two words that come up regularly in my channeling practice and so this piece of music has particular relevance for me. Ryan has very generously shared with me some of his own ideas and inspiration which have formed his musical creations. I am grateful to Ryan for all the light he brings to our world. It certainly has enriched my own. Open up the link below and take a listen for yourself!
